WHAT ARE ANTI - WRINKLE INJECTIONS?

Anti-wrinkle injections reduce muscle contractions to help smooth lines and wrinkles on the surface of the skin.

'Botox' is the abbreviated term for the Botulinum toxin - a chemical used for preventative anti-ageing. When injected into certain muscles the chemical will stop repeated muscle contractions which are leading to unsightly lines and wrinkles.

The treated areas are usually the crow’s feet (around the eyes), the frown lines between the eyebrows and the forehead.

Botox's paralysing properties can also be an incredible remedy to complaints happening a little further beneath the surface. If you suffer from long-standing migraine or an overactive sweat glands, Botox can also treat these areas.

ABOUT THE PROCEDURE

The procedure is booked with one of our highly experienced, medically trained staff members. The appointment usually takes around 15 minutes. During the appointment you will feel a sharp scratch as the injection is inserted.

Once you begin to see the results of the anti - wrinkle injections, the treated area will look softer and smoother. A top up session is carried out around 2 weeks after the initial appointment, free of charge.  

The results of the anti - wrinkle injections are not permanent. Usually, the procedure is repeated every 3 – 9 months to maintain the desired results.
